The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to know whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missing in corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done easily. It also features a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it will help you keep track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the top in the market, but it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. But robot vacuum cleaner on sale selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to set it up, just attach one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near a power outlet and ample space for it to move but.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The most important aspect that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable objects in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
